F.A.Q.

The “Mission: Helios” FAQ page is designed to provide clear, easy-to-understand answers to some of the most asked questions regarding the starship bridge simulator. On this page, visitors will find information about how the program functions; what role(s) each player assumes; how the program schedules missions; and what to anticipate while participating in a mission.

In addition to answering these questions, the FAQ page contains information about system requirements needed to run the program; options available for hosting events using the program; accessibility considerations for those who may need them; and resources for convention planners interested in bringing “Mission: Helios” to their facility. Regardless of whether someone has never experienced being a cadet or is an experienced crew member returning for another tour of duty, the FAQ page serves as an excellent resource for preparing for a flight and maximizing one’s experience on the bridge.

How many people do I need for my team?

Mission: Helios involves six bridge stations that players can use to play the game (the captain, helm, weapons, engineering, science and communications). All of these stations have specific duties and contribute to a successful mission. The Helm station is needed to navigate the ship and the Weapons station is needed to defend against enemies. Both of these stations must be occupied by at least one player to start the game. The other four stations do not need to be used to start the game; however, using them will give you more ways to strategically plan your moves and work together with your teammates in order to enhance the entire experience.

Mission: Helios has the ability to customize its simulation to take place at multiple venues such as your house, office building, etc. Our staff will arrive with all of the required gear to establish the bridges within your given area whether it is for a private function (party), an employee team-building exercise (corporate), or a local public event (community). The only requirements on your part are providing a minimum 10′ X 15′ area and electrical access. We take care of the rest; creating an enjoyable and interactive environment for each participant. Please review the different package options that we offer to determine which option is best suited for your Mission: Helios experience.

Mission Leaders are experienced professionals that will help ensure the success of your Helios Experience.

In addition to setting up the simulation, they will be able to guide the crew and assist them as needed during the mission. For further information regarding our committed please the Mission Leaders page.

Mission: Helios has an advantage over other systems; it does not require an Internet connection.

Therefore, this allows Mission: Helios to be installed and operated anywhere (even in areas without an Internet connection).

In addition, all the required hardware and software for Mission: Helios are completely integrated.

Therefore, regardless of whether you have an Internet connection or not, the user will be able to fully participate in the virtual world created by Mission: Helios.

Photos of the amazing team work of your crew during your Mission: Helios experience will be captured by our team. The photo capture process is done discreetly so as not to disrupt or interfere with the flow of your mission and allow for a fully immersive experience. Following the completion of the mission, we will be able to process the photos and provide you with a way to access and download them. A link to download your photos will be sent to you by email within 72 hours of completing the mission. Please reach out to us if you have any additional questions or concerns regarding your photos.

During your time as a participant on this mission, your mission leaders will take photos that we can use for promotion. We want to show others how much fun it is to participate in one of our missions. The photos from your mission will be shown in many different ways (e.g., on our website, social media pages, and in our brochures) so that people know what a great opportunity it is to participate in an immersive simulation like ours. The photos also give us a chance to bring in additional people who want to experience the same things you did. If there are any issues with us using your photos, please let us know.
